(I'd still either pull the image down, or darken it behind the title. Could add a layer of black between image and words, 30-50% opacity, just behind "Conconully"? Or if you wanted to get really tricky, maybe darken inside the Cs, the Os, inside the Us and above the Ls, but leave that N alone?)
Maybe see about putting a layer of black with 30-50% opacity on the back-cover's part of the image? It won't look as good spread out, but wrapped around, if the darkening of the image starts on only the back cover, it would help with legibility of the words.)
In a place outside of time, the magic keeping a ghost town alive is beginning to alter. Bringing two newcomers in has caused a welcome renewal of life here. But every action has a reaction, and the consequences are far beyond what Conconully's accidental magician ever expected.
For some reason the "renewal of life here" niggles at me -- particularly the "here" -- but I can't think of anything better, and it seems overall reasonable!
