Does anyone besides me remember this show from about fifteen years ago? Bruce Campbell as a bounty hunter out to revenge his father's death, with Clement Christianson (lately of Boston Legal) as his wimpy lawyer friend, and Julius Carry (whatever happened to him?) as a rival bounty hunter named Lord Bowler?

Set back around the turn of the last century, with various steampunky accoutrements and other fantasy elements and a Very Well-Trained Horse? Not to mention John Astin as a mad scientist.

It premiered on Fox the same night, one hour earlier, as another little show called the X-Files, which immediately took off, leaving poor unfortunate Briscoe in its dust.

Anyway, I loved it when it was first broadcast, and when I saw Netflix had the entire series on DVD, I made it the first item in my brand-new queue, and, by jiminy, it's as good as I remembered! I was so afraid it wasn't going to age well...

Briscoe should rightly be up there with all the other cult movies and TV shows, like Firefly and Harold and Maude and The Princess Bride, darnit. Go watch it.
