I have shortened my FL. I've mainly let go of people who have defriended me (not as many as I'd have expected [g]), but I've also let go of a few people whose default setting is the "click on me, this may not be child-friendly" message. Not that this setting doesn't have a place for some individual posts, but it's one of my quirks that I find having to click on it Every Single Time to read a post on a given person's LJ annoying. Nothing personal.
Anyway, I hope I haven't offended anyone by defriending them. There's only so many hours in the day, alas.
