If you want two cats, it helps if you get them both at the same time, from the same litter. That's what I did with Morgan and Linnet, and what I did with Teddy and Ivan. That way they're already used to each other and friends.

I've never tried introducing a new cat in a household where one's already established. I'd be scared to.

This is my favorite thing, when they do this. I think they're permanently kitten-sized in their brains.

I think so, too. They've long since outgrown that little green plastic basket they loved as kittens, but occasionally I'll still find one of them trying to sleep in it.
