mmegaeraI hate passive language. In my own writing, that is. No trouble with it in my fiction, but I'm taking a class on writing sales copy for my books (back covers, Amazon descriptions, etc.), and all of a sudden it's like everything is my sister (the queen of passive-aggressive -- and believe me, my passive language is extremely aggressive [wry g]).

Date: 2013-06-16 05:13 pm (UTC)Thanks. As I'm sure you know, plenty of people -- including many teachers, and writers of guides for writers! -- think "passive voice" is the same as "passivity" or "no ACTION" or "no explicit subject", etc. >:-P I didn't think you meant that, but I wasn't sure here.
