Well, I *tried* to watch Drive last night, but it slams a fist into two of my "oh, god, I can't watch this" buttons, so I lasted about 15 minutes, in spite of Nathan Fillion and Melanie Lynskey (who I've liked ever since her "I'm not really evil" stepsister in Ever After).

Anyway, the two buttons are Really Scary Stunts Behind The Wheel (I had a rollover accident seven years ago, and I still can't watch a car chase or a wreck, even on TV), and Villains Who Say Things Like, "I wouldn't have to be doing this to you if you'd just [fill in the blank with something reprehensible]." I don't do bullies, and I think there's serious problems in any media when the plot includes (let alone depends solely on) the Bad Guys being like that (esp. since my first reaction is to want to yell -- "no, he *doesn't* have to, go slink away under your rock where you belong until you figure out how to be Evil with better plot.")

So, I guess I'll just stick with Planet Earth (although that's almost over) and The Dresden Files (although they were going on about how last night's episode was the season finale [whine] for my Sunday night fare.

Ptui. And I was so glad Nathan Fillion got another gig, too.
