For the current WIP, pretty please.

It's 1983. I need the name of a very popular heavy metal band. The more disreputable the better. It would also be lovely to know what one of their concert t-shirts looked like, and what sort of shorts someone would be likely to wear with it.

I quit listening to popular music in the late 70s, and never was into heavy metal myself, so I'm at something of a loss. It's going to be worn by someone who also is clueless on the subject (he's four), so I'm not going to get the rest of it wrong, fortunately.

Iron Maiden? I wasn't into the music myself, but happened to know one of the members slightly in the early 80's (enough that I once got invited to go to the Bahamas with him; at 22 my response was a blush and a mumbled "I'll have to ask my mother").
