quilts, quilts, quilts
Feb. 2nd, 2007 04:47 pmI started a Flickr account this week. I couldn't think of anything better to start uploading than pictures of my quilts, so the other day I spent an hour or so draping quilts over the beds and taking pictures of them, and I uploaded them. They represent about half of my output in eighteen years of quilting -- most of them are machine-pieced and hand-quilted, although there are a couple of machine-quilted ones (the rainbow nine-patch and the half-square triangle scrappy one) that I did while I was deciding that machine-quilting is not for me. The other half of my output has either been gifted to other people pre-digital-camera (at least seven or eight baby quilts and at least two bed quilts, among others), or are small projects like placemats and table runners. Or are items I only pull out at Christmas. I will get around to taking pictures of them, too.
Some of these projects date from my early days as a quilter, so do remember that when you look at them [g].
I would love to have people look at them and if so moved, comment (all it takes is a Yahoo ID and password to allow comments). The address is http://www.flickr.com/photos/mmegaera.
Thanks!
