Yes, most of the flowers are wet and droopy. Unfortunately, we're due for a windstorm tonight (60+ mph winds and pouring rain) so I figured I'd better take photos now before everything's in shreds.

Primroses go on sale everywhere here (from Walmart to the upscale nurseries) by the end of January. I can never resist them.

4.jpg

Tete-a-tete miniature daffodils. Planted years ago, they're some of the few daffodils that don't act like annuals in my garden (which is less than five miles from fields where they're grown commercially -- go figure).

5.jpg

The last of the reticulata irises, which bloom insanely early in my front flower bed, bless 'em.

6.jpg

Aubrieta in bud and just beginning to bloom. It will be a sheet of tiny purple flowers for about a month in a week or so, if the storm doesn't shred it.

7.jpg

The first Cyclamen coum blossom of the year. Yes, this is tiny. The flower itself is about the size of my thumbnail.

10.jpg

Hellebores, aka Christmas roses, which is a misnomer in my garden. They've been blooming for a couple of weeks now.

A rather soaked and tattered pansy.

And, for a change of pace:

He's a junco, so far as I know. Is that right, [livejournal.com profile] kk1raven?

Here's hoping we don't lose the electricity tonight...
