And someone please, please, please is going to tell me how.

I just spent two hours writing today's words, and then copied the file the wrong way to save things to the flash drive (IOW, I accidentally saved the old version from the flash drive to my computer, and not the other way around), and now I've lost the damned words. All 2000+ of them.

Please tell me how to get those words back. Please, someone, somehow. Please.

There has to be a way to recover the file. Isn't there?

ETA: Never mind. It's a lost cause. pstratt just spent too much time trying to help me recover it, and it just ain't there.

And now I'm going to have to write an extra 100 words a day to make up for it if I'm going to make my 50,000 words, because it's almost 11 pm, and trying to recover what was in my brain is not going to happen right now.

Excuse me while I go over in the corner and cry. Not because it's an extra 100 words a day, but because those were good words, dammit!
