relieved, not happy

mmegaeraMost definitely not celebrating, but then I didn't know anyone who was killed on 9/11. Not personally. And I do not begrudge anyone who did anything they feel about this.
I was afraid I was in a distinct minority feeling the way I do about bin Laden's death, but at least on my FL I am not. While I am relieved that the search is over (and still pretty unhappy with how things got sidetracked with Iraq and all -- bin Laden should have been captured years ago), I cannot be happy.
I would be happy about this if it had meant the wars were over. Even happier if none of this had ever happened in the first place.
