a couple of questions

mmegaera1) We seem to be going through another round of flailing about LJ falling apart at the seams. Is there anything to be done by us lowly members about the problems causing this besides leaving? (I for one am getting heartily sick of being repeatedly suspected of being a bot, thanksmuch)
2) I am not fond of Dreamwidth or Facebook for reasons I'd rather not go into in depth, so I'd appreciate that just being taken as given. Is there anywhere else to leave to without losing the whole FL thing? How does one migrate elsewhere without losing one's built-carefully-over-time FL in the first place? A lot of people seem to be talking about setting up Wordpress blogs, but those are just straight blogs without the community aspect, right? I know my Blogger blog is just a straight blog without the community aspect. The main reason I stay on LJ is the community aspect. I would miss that very much.
3) Oh, and a third question. What happens to my five-plus year archive of posts if I leave or LJ implodes? How do I save those?
