the second contract is signed!
Nov. 10th, 2010 10:19 pmI now officially have two freelance gigs. The nonprofit museum world moves about as fast as our legal system, but at least it's official now.
In addition to research and building the school district exhibit for the Lakewood, Washington, Historical Society museum, which I started working on a couple of weeks ago, I will be curating photographs for the Tacoma Historical Society starting next week.
Hallelujah. It looks like this freelance museum person thing really is happening.
Oh, and the Lakewood folks have said that if they like my work on this exhibit, there may be two more for me to create down the road, which will become the nucleus of the museum when they move into larger quarters in a couple of years.
I'm getting paid to do research, write, and play with photographs. How the heck did I manage that???
And man, am I going to be busy.
