mmegaeraNew vacuum cleaner. Three comments.
1) The old one was 28 years old when it died yesterday. I've had that sucker (no pun intended) over half my life. I think I got my money's worth out of it. And I just bought another of the same brand (Eureka). I figure they deserved my loyalty.
2) The new one has some pethair-specific gadgets on it. I tried them out this afternoon on my loveseat and chair. Wonder of wonders, they actually seem to get rid of cat hair. What a concept.
3) "It's like buying a vacuum cleaner" is still my standard for things I need but really don't want to spend money on.
