mmegaeraOkay. So the Seahawks were 1-3 in the preseason. They've got more new faces on their roster than any other team (27), and a practically all-new coaching staff, including the head coach, Pete Carroll. In the first game of the season they were up against the team that has been expected to win their division (the San Francisco 49ers). The first pass Hasselbeck threw was an interception, and the first quarter ended 6-0 for the 49ers. I thought, oh, crap, here we go again.
And then the 'Hawks absolutely whomped them -- 31-6. Matt Hasselbeck connected pass after pass, Justin Forsett was running like a madman, and among many other highlights (including Hasselbeck carrying the ball into the end zone himself once) there were two lovely interceptions.
That was fun [g].
Oh, and Pete Carroll is so bouncy and bubbly and gets so excited. He reminded me of a gray-headed Tigger. He's going to be awfully fun to watch, too.
