mmegaera: (gardening)
Flowers!

snapdragon.jpg
The only snapdragon blooming in my back garden so far, although several more have buds.

feverfew.jpg
Volunteer feverfew in the back garden. I can never bring myself to yank quite all of it.

dianthus.jpg
I keep planting "annual" dianthus, and it keeps coming back year after year. So I've got rather a lot of it these days.

coreopsis.jpg
This year's new coreopsis, since the one that I had for about five years gave up the ghost this past winter.

bachelor's button.jpg
Bachelor's buttons are one of my favorite annuals.

salpiglossis.jpg
Salpiglossis is so cool. It looks like embroidered petunias.

candytuft.jpg
Candytuft pretty much self-seeds in my front garden.

fairy rose.jpg
The fairy rose is finally going to town.

And my back patio tubs just look incredible this year:

petunias and lobelia.jpg

The new guy down the way introduced himself to me the other day, and when he asked me where I lived and I pointed, he said, oh, you're the lady with all the flowers. Which pleased me no end. [g]
mmegaera: (reading)
The problem with Netflix is that it makes available TV series that one loved when they originally aired, but which upon rewatching are as bad as those books one read and loved as a teenager but are utter dreck when reread at age forty.

Oh, Remington Steele, you really weren't that bad, were you???
