The desktop meme! Been goin' around the f-list.

01. Anyone who looks at this entry has to can post this meme and their current wallpaper at their livejournal.
02. Explain in five sentences or less why you are using that wallpaper.
03. Don't change your wallpaper before doing this! The point is to see what you had on!

I can't figure out how to take a screen shot of my wallpaper, but this is the picture that I'm using for wallpaper ATM.

It's of the garden at Van Lierops Bulb Farm about ten miles from my house, taken about a month and a half ago.

I'm about to change the wallpaper, though, because it's getting a bit out of date. Probably to a picture of Cliff Geyser, if only because a small boy is about to use it for purposes it wasn't built for [g]. At least that's the case in the current opus.

Netflix question that I can't seem to get answered.

Is there a "suggest for purchase" doohickey of some kind anywhere on Netflix's website? I can't find one, and the librarian in me refuses to believe they wouldn't have one.

Actually, an old collage I did a while back.

True Gold montage.jpg

The current opus takes place in two widely-separated venues -- Yellowstone National Park (again, of course), and the route to the Klondike Gold Rush (Seattle up the coast to Skagway, Alaska, over the Chilkoot Pass to the Yukon Territory, and down the Yukon River to Dawson City).

So, from upper left to lower right, we have the community of Mammoth Hot Springs including Fort Yellowstone, from the top of the springs. The trail over Chilkoot Pass in the winter of 1897-98. Cliff Geyser, Biscuit Basin, Upper Geyser Basin, YNP. A really cool photo of goats pulling a sled on the Chilkoot Trail. Two pictures of Dawson City, the upper righthand corner one more recent than the one below it. And a historical picture of the Upper Geyser Basin.

Which is probably more than you wanted to know...
