Is turning out to be far messier than I thought it was going to be. I really didn't want to know all about septicemia or gangrene or infections or how painful it really was to die of such things 125 years ago.

But he's in a coma now. The screaming has stopped. It should all be over except for the aftermath by tomorrow or the next day...

I am deeply grateful for antibiotics. I had no idea how much till I started reading about this stuff.
