Well, the physical therapist didn't read me the riot act on Tuesday. AAMOF, while I was doing the usual lying on my back lifting my arm over my head while she measured me to see how much farther I could do it this time than last, something *gave* in this ooh, wow, that feels good sort of way, and all of a sudden I could lift my right arm almost (within a couple of degrees) as far as I can the left one. Marcy the PT and I both blinked, she said, "where did *that* come from?" I said, "I don't know, but isn't it nifty?" and we just grinned at each other.

The first really good thing about this is that it wasn't a one-shot deal -- I can lift my arm that high now any time I want to (g). The second really good thing about it is that my shoulder hardly aches any at all now. It's like something that needed to pop free really badly finally did it (I've been feeling like something needed to for several weeks now). It's just lovely.

The left side of my ribs still hurts, but I know it's just a pulled muscle and will take a week or two to go away. It's not a big deal, even if it hurts like heck and makes me move like a little old lady every time I get up or sit down. Or cough. Or sneeze. Or laugh. Don't ever pull a muscle that's attached to your ribcage. It's evil.

I may be my old self one of these days soon after all. I was beginning to wonder.
