I found a new trail today! It's the Hylebos Wetlands boardwalk, almost two miles long, right in the heart of Federal Way although you'd never know it from the trail. The wetlands park had been closed for a while for renovation and new trail building, and this was the first time I'd been there since it reopened and the weather was decent enough (it was over fifty degrees F! and sunshiny) to go for a walk.

There were pussy willows in bloom! and red osier dogwoods! and all sorts of little birds that I could hear but not see (kk1raven, next time you're here we'll have to get over there). It actually made me feel like the promised spring really is going to show up after all (I always feel that way this time of year). So that's one thing. And next time I'll take my camera.
