mmegaeraWas fun, in an MST3K sort of way...
The effects were spectacular, the eye candy (Quaid and Gyllenhaal) was lovely, the story was ridiculous, the "science" was hilarious, the guy they had playing C/h/e/n/e/y the vice-president was a hoot, and poor Ian Holm got stuck playing the token helpless non-American. My sympathies to the Brits.
I was, however, having flashbacks to The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen in the unbelievability department. And this thing wasn't based on a comic, so it didn't have even that excuse.
At least when I woke up this morning, our snow was starting to melt...
