AKICOLJ -- Yahoogroups
Aug. 29th, 2008 06:43 pmDoes anyone know if there is a way to block graphics in emails I receive from Yahoogroups messages? On an otherwise very useful writing list, a few members are addicted to graphics, and they take an inordinate amount of time to download (it's like I'm back on dialup even though I have DSL). I would love to be able to get the list sans graphics, but I'd need a step-by-step on how to do it, because I've gone to what Yahoogroups laughingly calls "help," and AFAICT it's not there.
I have a love/hate relationship with Yahoogroups. The lists I'm on there are some of my favorites, but I hate the interface with a purple passion. I really don't want to lose this list, but if I can't shut this off, I'm going to have to drop it.
ETA: I should have been more clear, sorry. What I want to know is if there is a setting within Yahoogroups, perhaps somewhere I'm missing in the settings pages, where I can tell YG that I only want to receive messages from those lists in plain text. I do not want to monkey with the otherwise satisfactory settings in my own email program, nor do I want to switch email programs.
Sorry about that. Help?
