computer help, please?

mmegaeraIt's a petty thing, but --
Just today (and, no, I don't think I accidentally hit something that could have caused this) Outlook Express suddenly started going to the first message in any given file folder instead of the last one. Does anyone know how to adjust this back? I tend to keep a lot of email messages, so this is putting me several pages of already read messages up from the unread ones, and is a PITA.
Yeah, I know I should probably get away from IE and OE, but they're convenient, and generally (aside from something like this once or twice a year) are not a problem for me.
Help?
