the painting is done
And I have *pictures* hanging on my bedroom walls. And curtains instead of those infernal miniblinds that had a gap right where the streetlight could shine on my face. The paint is one of those wonderful colors that change with the light, like hazel eyes. Blue to green to gray. Like Sethos's eyes (g).
I think the cats thought we were moving again when I started moving furniture, but now that everything is back in its place, they're much calmer.
I layered and pin-basted two quilt tops -- the Bears in the Woods wallhanging last night, and today at the library meeting room because I don't have the space to spread out and layer an entire double-bed-sized quilt in my house, the four-patch plaid (the pattern is plaid, with criss-crossing rows of squares, not the fabric) that's been sitting in my spare bedroom closet for about four years. I've finally found it a good home with my friend Loralee. Now I've got plenty of quilting to do...
It's been a good week. A high word count week, too. I didn't realize Charley was quite as bashful as he is (g).
