pretty much

Except that I do have a fake xmas tree. Two years ago I had shoulder surgery on December 23rd. I did not have a tree that year because from about four months before the surgery to about four months afterwards, I was not capable of manhandling a tree into the house, let alone getting it into the stand and decorated. That was my first xmas without a tree. I was quite determined that it would be my last.

IMHO, there is nothing xmas-related that is quite so depressing as being treeless, even if you are so zoned out on Oxycontin that you wouldn't recognize one if it bit you, anyway.

And now that I have the fake tree? It's just so much easier than the real thing that I can't be bothered with going to the lot to get one [wry g].

What The Holidays Mean to You

For you, the holidays are about celebration. You enjoy all the fun and fellowship that the holidays bring.

You celebrate the holidays in a natural style. Homemade gifts are your favorite, and you can't stand imitation Christmas trees or wreaths

During the holidays, you feel magical. You love all of the decorations and how happy people are. You like to sit back and take it all in.

You think the holidays should be decadent and indulgent. You never mind gaining a few holiday pounds... it's worth it!

Your favorite holiday memories strongly evoke your senses. You are vividly aware of all the tastes, smells, and sounds of the holidays.
