What are your five favorite canonical friendships?
1. Ramses and David (Elizabeth Peters)
2. Miles and Ivan (Lois McMaster Bujold) -- esp. after the former learns to appreciate the latter
3. Merry and Pippin (J.R.R. Tolkien)
4. Anne and Diana (L.M. Montgomery)

This was a lot harder than I thought it would be, because I tend to look for romantic relationships rather than platonic friendships in my fiction.
I know I wouldn't be able to narrow favorite canonical romantic relationships down to just five.
