one small cat so far

mmegaeraI brought Theodore home this morning. Unfortunately, Ivan came down with a small infection day before yesterday, and the fosterer lady doesn't want to let him go till he's well (I have no problem with this). Hopefully he'll be home soon, too.
Theo, in the meantime, is sound asleep in the carrier, having spent the better part of an hour and a half exploring his new digs, trying out the litter box, and having a nice lunch. I did not put him back in the carrier. I think he decided it was the safest spot in this strange new place to snooze.
He's gained half a pound in the eight days since I last saw him. A third of his new body weight. After seeing him chow down, I can see how he managed it [g].
It is extremely nice to have a cat in the house again. Can't wait to have two.
