So. I started making some collections on my Kindle and putting books into them, because I'm a former librarian and books Must Be Organized. But I can't figure out how to add books to an existing collection that I made, say, last night (as opposed to starting another collection). Help?

This is what I do (there may be an easier way, but I don't know what it is): have the book that you want to add to the collection underlined (as though you were going to read it), press the right arrow key and a list of menu options should come up. Choose "Add to Collection".

I don't know how to do it in bulk or through Calibre - there was a plug-in I found, but I couldn't get it to work correctly. If anyone does know how to add books to collections in bulk, I would really like to know.

When I'm doing a bunch of them (like I was this afternoon, see mini rant on LJ) I open the collection I want them in then press the menu button & there's an Add/Remove items options. When you select it you'll get all your books listed (ones that are already in that collection will have a tick by them) & you can add them quickly one at a time by highlighting them then clicking again, then moving to the next etc. When you've finished either just click Done or hit Home.

Of course all the above depends on your model or kindle working the same as mine, I don't have a clue about differences between models :-)
