mmegaera | crisis mode stinks

I suppose this doesn't make a very cheerful first entry, but I've got another sick cat. Linnet (who contrary to popular assumption is a male cat) has been having trouble jumping up on things for the last couple of days, and yesterday he was moping around (didn't want to go outside in weather this good among other things, which was definitely a Sign). And last night I discovered a bump on one of his hips, which apparently was sensitive to the touch. So I made an appointment with the vet for when I get off work this afternoon, and we'll see.

I hope this doesn't turn into another Year of High Vet Bills (my other cat, Morgan, has already been in for an ear hematoma, and, no, it wasn't ear mites). Between moving into this condo last year and my own doctor bills from last winter, it wouldn't be pretty.

Sigh.
