Will have to do to make a post tonight:

1) I am signed in for NaNoWriMo as Megaera, the same account as last year. Anyone who is also signed up for the insanity is welcome to friend me there (no, I don't know how to do that, but if you do...). I will probably be posting bits on my NaNo LJ, [livejournal.com profile] sojourn_town, but not everything every day the way I did last year. Some days may well just be word counts, to keep me accountable (sorry, bad pun), but there will be snippets some days. Of Repeating History's sequel, if that makes a difference to anyone. True Gold is partially written already, in the sense that I've written several drafts that have fairly large salvageable chunks in them, and also in the sense that for the first time in my life I've built an outline for it, and so for this book at least I'm a planner, not a pantser (as the romance community fondly calls those who write by the seat of their pants). I hope to have the final draft finished by the end of the year (yikes, did I just say that? out loud?), and to have it well-revised, edited, etc., before I put it up on Amazon and Smashwords in the spring (yikes, did I just say that, too?).

2) I have officially put the fourth quilt on the bed as of today. Three are not enough when we're getting frost outside. So first the National Park quilt, then the Winter Star Path quilt, then the Shadow Flattery quilt, then, on top, the Evergreen quilt. That ought to do it for the winter except for a potential few nights where it might drop down into the teens (it actually does that here sometimes) Yes, I do run the heat, but only on a very low temp in my bedroom because if I run it too high the air dries out too much and I wake up with a sinus headache (I run a humidifier in my bedroom as it is). Besides, I like to snuggle up under a lot of quilts and be warm everywhere but my nose.

Onward...
