Two Important Details

One -- I am not flooded out. This in spite of having had over five inches of rain in the last 72 hours (and it's still raining, off and on). There's a reason I live on high ground in this part of the world. And I here now solemnly swear to never curse the rocks in my yard ever, ever again. Moraines are a wonderful thing to live on.

Two -- I filled out my absentee ballot a couple of days ago, but forgot to mail it until I saw it sitting on the sofa table this morning. Hey, better the last minute than never...
