the museum director position
I didn't get it.
I'm not upset about not getting the position. Given that the job appears to be 90% admin, bookkeeping, and fundraising, and 10% actual museum work, and that the hours include every Saturday, I don't think I'd have liked it at all. I am a bit hurt by the fact that the board chose to inform me, a loyal volunteer, that I didn't get the job by letting me walk in on my day to docent and find her there unexpectedly without at least a letter or an email to let me know she'd be there that day, let alone that she got the job and I didn't.
