it's only been a bit over a year

Since I started this freelance museum curator thing. And I'm already scheduling projects five months out.

Got an email from the director of the Job Carr Cabin Museum (where my museum career began as a volunteer several years ago), wanting to know if I was interested in building an exhibit for them about pioneer textiles. Textiles? At the cabin? That was a no-brainer, except -- I'm fully booked with three ongoing projects until the beginning of March. That's fine, she says. We don't want the exhibit to open until September. Six months is plenty of time. But, criminy. March is five months away!

So, yeah, it looks like I have another exhibit to build. Next year.

Apparently there was a real need for a freelance museum curator in this county. Who knew?
