But getting wrought up at the doctor's just because I'm at the doctor's (for a routine physical, no less) is really, seriously counterproductive. Getting more wrought up when they innocently try to help unwrought (what's the present tense of wrought up?) me up is even more so. No, I don't know why I do this. I just do. I do it at the dentist's, too. But oddly enough, not at the optometrist's (I've always thought eye examinations are more like playing games than examinations, though).

Also, tests are expensive, and thus need to be used sparingly. Doctors say they understand that, but they really don't.
