a semi-random question

Has anyone on my FL ever made a bog jacket? (google it if you don't know what I'm talking about) If you did, what kind of fabric did you make it from (or did you knit or crochet it), and how did you finish the edges?

Am going to need to find someone to measure me first, but I think this is an article of clothing that a) I would like to own, and b) I could actually make for myself.
