Audacity

Any Audacity experts out there? I was just given a cassette-to-USB converter for my birthday, and it came with Audacity as its software. I've managed to copy one side of one cassette so far, but I'd like to learn how to do more than just a rough copy before I go any further (learn how to break it down into tracks, etc.).

Does anyone know of a good tutorial? I'd be grateful.

2 things make a post tonight

1) I have a new contract [g]. Signed, sealed, and delivered today (well, not delivered, I went there to sign it). I will be curating textiles, starting with a collection of wedding dresses, for another local historical society. I start a week from Thursday, one day a week for six months or until they're all curated, whichever comes first.

2) I've downloaded the Kindle app on my netbook. I want to read some good self-published stuff, preferably fiction, preferably by someone who hasn't ever been traditionally published. I like Real People [tm]. If you know of a good self-published novel populated by Real People [tm], please let me know.
