AKICOLJ: a mouse question
Nov. 27th, 2009 01:32 pmAll of a sudden recently, my mouse has been acting like I've been doubleclicking when I've been singleclicking. Not consistently, but enough to be annoying. It works fine otherwise. Does this mean it's dying and I need to replace it, or is there somewhere I can adjust something (not in the mouse section of the Control Panel, I've tried that already) to fix it?
If it's dying, it's no big deal, but I'd just as soon not have to go out on Black Friday to get a new one if I don't have to.
ETA: It's already been cleaned, about as thoroughly as possible.
ETA2: This problem started happening just after my last set of MS updates for XP, along with an arbitrary reordering of the task bar on IE, which is why I was asking about Control Panel style fixes, rather than the mouse itself. I take it this was a coincidence [sigh].
