update on the DVR question

I want to clarify my original question on one point, because apparently I wasn't clear enough before [g]. I want the DVR to hook up to my television, not my computer.

Also, I searched for DVRs on Amazon, and so much came up, so many different items, that I have no clue how to narrow my search down to exactly what I need. Help?
