This list originally came from the Bujold list, where one of our esteemed listees (who is a Brit, so some of these are not standard American designations) posted a list of herbs he puts in jars and gives as his standard wedding present (a lovely idea, actually). Then [livejournal.com profile] nishalitha turned it into a meme. And here is my list -- I own the bolded ones, and probably won't get any more elaborate than that.
