Most people know her as the Fat Lady in the portrait on the Gryffindor common room door in the first Harry Potter movie (I was most indignant when that part was recast later on), or from her part in Sense and Sensibility.
I liked her best for her role of the rich patron in the miniseries Shackleton, and I wish I'd had the chance to see her on stage.
She had this presence. And she will be missed.
