okay, and the opposite
Sep. 20th, 2007 03:27 pmOccasionally it's good to redo questions that have been done to death over on The List, for different perspectives. For which I am glad to have another forum, so that people can't complain that we're doing it again. That said, at least I haven't brought up the Dreaded Casting Thread. Yet [g].
Anyway.
toraks said: Hee hee, well, you didn't ask for the good scenes! :-D. And
fajrdrako said elsewhere that she doesn't always reread the whole book (or series) when she rereads, but that she will go back and reread specific scenes. As do I, on occasion.
Does anyone else do that?
Almost all (almost) of my "just a scene" bits are in Memory, Komarr, and A Civil Campaign, and include (but are not a complete list of) the following:
"Good god, woman, where have you been?" The fishing scene. "The best two falls out of three." "The unfortunate incident about the pond." The girlfriend litany. Ekaterin meets Admiral Naismith. The attic scene. The council of counts scene.
I'm a romance fan, if you haven't figured that out. And I like the scenes that make me grin.
Anybody else?
