Five Simple Pleasures

1) Mr. Linnet the cat putting his paws on my knee and head-butting me as I'm putting my shoes on in the morning. I know it just means, come on, let's go downstairs so you can let me out, but it's still nice.

2) Flowers blooming through the snow. This week they were hardy cyclamens and primroses. Fortunately the snow is gone now [g].

3) Sky that looks like it belongs in a Renaissance painting -- all pink clouds and blue heavens just after sunset.

4) Scrap quilts.

5) Serendipity in the writing process -- although that's not nearly as simple as it sounds.
