one step forward, two steps back
Mar. 10th, 2006 03:47 pmSigh. I went to my work quilt group last night -- there's a bunch of us
from the library system who get together once a month and quilt and take
turns bringing dinner, and this was my first time back since surgery.
Well, I took a cross-stitch bookmark with me, thinking that would be a
nice, easy-on-the-shoulder thing to do. I put about three dozen stitches
in it before my shoulder started aching, and I had to put it down.
Then I woke up this morning with it sore, went to physical therapy, and
the therapist rubbed at it to the point where I was in tears from the
pain, then did ice massage on me, and it still hurts. Apparently three
dozen cross-stitches was enough to give me secondary tendonitis.
Sigh.
I'm going through needlework withdrawals. No quilting, no cross-stitch, no crochet...
