We had a tornado here Sunday night! (for values of here including up to 40 miles away -- Enumclaw, if you want to get specific) It was an F-1, and a very rare thing west of the Cascades (Washington state averages 2 tornadoes a year, but most of them are east of the mountains -- this is only the second one I know of on this side in the 16 years I've been here, and the other one was down near Portland).
It destroyed someone's 92-year-old barn, and did a number on a small plant nursery. No one was injured.
But -- a tornado! Criminy.
Lots of booming and crashing, too, and several serious downpours, but no power outages.
It was all very Midwestern. Weird.
