clueless question, a poll, but not one

mmegaeraSince I don't have a paid account, and you have to have a paid account to post a "real" poll...
If you felt the need to build a simple website (for valid specific reasons), and you really didn't have the first clue (as in you find LJ to be a fascinating source of new things to learn) as to how to go about it, what would you do?
A) Find a book on the subject.
B) Find a friend to teach you.
c) Find someone to pay to build the page for you.
D) Throw up your hands and give up without even trying.
E) Something else I'll discuss in comments.
