Writer's Block: Philanthropy

Time. Money is not abundant ATM, although I used to give to the ADA (American Diabetes Association) on occasion back when I was flush (my older sister has been a brittle type 1 diabetic for almost forty years). One of these days I'll be able to do that again.
I staff the reception desk of the administrative headquarters at a local national wildlife refuge one afternoon a week. More to the point, I finished cataloging their library and am cleaning up the database where my well-meaning but non-librarian predecessors did some -- interesting things with keywords (hint -- that's key-word, not key-very long phrase or sentence).
I also docent once a month at a local history museum and am working on rewriting some outdated material on their webpage.
I was also working as a literacy tutor for elementary schoolchildren once a week, but that nonprofit ran out of money for the coordinators and supplies. We're hoping there'll be enough money to start up again next fall.
If I'm still in the position of not having a paying job I'll be there. I love tutoring.
