1) Is your kitchen large, medium, or small?
2) How many people do you typically feed at the main meal of the day?
3) How often do you cook recipes that require assembly (rather than just heating premade items)?
4) What is your favorite heat-producing kitchen appliance?
5) What is your favorite non-heating kitchen appliance?
6) Do you like specialized gadgets and tools, or consider them a waste of space?
7) Do you cook from recipes, by intuition, or both ways?
8) How many cookbooks do you have?

And my answers:

1) Fairly good-sized for a condo, IOW, medium to small.

2) Just me, unless I'm having someone over for a meal, which generally sends me into a tizzy. I'm not at all used to cooking for anyone but me.

3) I cook for my freezer, so I don't do much premade, but that also means I don't cook as opposed to reheat more than a couple of times a week, unless I'm in the middle of a "restocking the freezer week."

4) It's a tossup between my crockpot and my, um, microwave (which is almost as essential for freezer cooking as the freezer is, because reheating in the oven is both hard on the food and energy-wasteful).

5) My baby chest freezer. Hands down. It revolutionized the way I eat, which is much healthier with more variety now.

6) I'd probably enjoy them if I had them, but I'm not much on buying kitchen gadgets, and I don't tend to think about needing one unless I need one Right This Minute. Which is not usually when I'm out shopping [g].

7) Recipes, mostly, although I do have a few meals I cook the way my mother taught me to, or that I just sort of intuited (dumping stuff in the crockpot being a favorite method for the latter).

8) Seven or eight? I only use a couple of them regularly. I also have a three-ring binder which is sort of a combination recipe file and ad hoc freezer cooking manual (I save my planning pages so that I don't have to reinvent the wheel every time).
