Satisfied Saturday Six

Satisfied Saturday Six is about taking the time to focus on the good things. Post 6 things that made you smile during the week. It doesn't matter if it happened to you, in the news or to someone else. Just put aside the negative for a moment and share pleasure. Because happiness and smiles are precious and balance the world.
Not much has made me smile this week, but...
1. I figured out what pattern I want to use for the next baby quilt. Another nibling is having another great-nibling in May, which will bring the number of great-niblings up to eight. BTW, thanks,
stoutfellow for the term. It's invaluable. I'll post an EQ6 scan soon. It's cool. It looks complicated and three-dimensional, but it's really simple. And I can make it completely from my stash, thereby not spending money I don't have right now.
2. I've made a lot of progress quilting the Yule Log Cabin, and I'm really pleased with how it's turning out.
3. That fanficced version of the recent US election, with Obama as Mary Sue, which I posted a link to a couple of days ago. That went beyond smiling into howls of laughter.
4. Brainstorming with LJ on the Phrase from Hell. Thanks, everyone who helped. Also, the idea that precipitated it. Some things should be updated periodically, even if it means restitching the whole thing.
5. Cats curled up on the wing chair together like a yin-yang symbol.
6. Chocolate fudge cupcakes. With vanilla buttercream frosting.
