Thus, its primary benefit is for the historian: time travel provides valuable opportunities to witness ancient cultures first-hand. There's also room in the world for one or two large Companies who base their business model around rescuing lost artifacts that slipped through the cracks of history and sending rich vacationers on prehistoric holidays, but that's about it. Time travel is cool, sure, but it's ultimately just another exploitable resource.
